Code 44 during KOER, looking for direction

The 5.0 seems to be running good, but I keep getting a code 44 during the KOER test. I have yet to check anything, and was wondering if performance could suffer if not repaired. Any ideas, thanks in advance.

Here is a summary of the error you are getting with items to check:

Service Codes 44/311 and 94/314 indicate that Thermactor air system is inoperative.

Service Code 45/312 indicates that Thermactor air is misdirected.

Service Code 46/313 indicates that Thermactor is not being bypassed when requested.

Possible causes:

-- Vacuum hoses leaking, blocked or kinked.

-- Diverter valve, thermactor pump inoperative.

-- Air Management Solenoid(s) defective, blocked.

l Verify proper vacuum line routing in the Thermactor air system, including vacuum reservoir. Refer to VECI decal.

l Check for kinked or blocked vacuum lines.

l Check for kinked or blocked air hoses.

l Check for disconnected or cracked vacuum lines.

I assume your TAB/TAB solenoids and the rest of the AIR system are intact? If not, this would be a normal KOER test failure.

It was an easy cut and paste job! But I'll take it.
