Blower motor stuck on High
#17
There is no test for the control itself, it is solid state and not field testable. The test procedure for your symptom is to check for DTC's and if none are found, disconnect the blower motor speed control connector and turn the ignition on. If the blower does not run, then it is assumed the wiring has no shorts and the control should be replaced. If the concern is not resolved, the pinpoint test then directs you to replace the HVAC module.

Heater Fan Stuck On High
Thanks everybody for the info. ScottG2011 especially. All good information.
Ordered the part online from Best Quality Auto Parts. $69.96 shipped, and they would let me return it if it wasn't the problem.
Installed it in about 45 min. (I'm very slow).
My world is right again.

Just wanted everyone to know, I put in a blower control module in my 08 Expy EL today. it had auto temp control. Bought the model at Oreilly auto parts. Works like a charm.
Thanks for this thread, my blower had been stuck on high for 2 months. When we clicked off, it just got stronger. After removing the old module and prying apart the cover, I did some basic ohmmeter tests and determined the chances of the part being faulty were strong. Cost was $69 plus tax. Thanks everyone and Merry Christmas!!

Hi ya'll, new to the forum
So earlier today when I left the house, the fan speed for the AC was stuck on high, so I browsed the forums, found that the resistor was probably the culprit. I popped into Oreillys got a new one (RU1266) and in 10 mins, the new one was in. I fired up the truck and now its the opposite, the high fan speed not working, but all the others are. Climate control works, until it tries to gets up to max AC, then the fan shuts down all together. Any ideas?? Its a 2009 F150 Lariat SuperCrew with the dual zone climate control
Thanks!!!
