Which Dana 44 bearings are you asking for? You should be able to buy all from NAPA.

Bearings and bearing cups have BIN's (Bearing Industry Numbers) stamped on them, these are the numbers autoparts stores, bearing shops go by.

Not sure this is right; it says "except D-44/60" in one place, and "w/Dana 44" in another... I recall the bearing being an open type, separate cone and race. I don't recall the lock sleeve either

Dana 41/44 & Ford 9" = The bearing is the same (note exceptions), the seal is not the same.

D8AZ-1225-C (replaced D8AZ-1225-A, D8AZ-1225-B, C1SZ-1225-A, C1SZ-1225-B, 8M-1225-B) .. Axle Bearing-Includes Bearing Retainer / BIN stamped: F-208-HL / 88128 (C1SZ-1225-A).

Dana 41/44: 1948/52 F1 / 1953/56 F100 / Misc 1948/56 FoMoCo Passenger Cars (Station Wagons/Police Cruisers/Thunderbirds).

Ford 9": 1957/73 F100 # / 1966/77 Bronco / Misc 1974/83 F100 * / Misc 1975/86 F150 * / Misc 1978/86 Bronco * / 1969/87 E100 / 1975/87 E150 / Misc. 1957/79 FoMoCo Passenger Cars.

# Some 1968/72 F100's have a 9 w/a 9 3/8" ring gear & 31 spline axleshafts. Not the same.

* Some 1974/86: F100/150, Bronco & 1974/79 Passenger Cars have an axle bearing/seal combo (D4AZ1225A). Not the same.

Why don't you go into NAPA and simply ask for rear axle bearings for a 1956 F-100? It shouldn't be any more difficult than that.
