zf-5 slave cylinder

I have been trying to bleed the clutch and the pedal has some pressure and comes back up after being depressed, but it still does not disengage enough to allow the transmission to slip into gear. I have heard that if air is in the internal slave cylinder it can be hard to get out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I didn't use a vacuum pump when bleeding the clutch on my truck and it turned out fine. To start out, I opened the bleeder then slowly pressed the clutch to the floor, closed the bleeder, pulled the pedal back up and repeated that a few times. When I had a good flow of fluid during the pedal sweep to the floor, I closed the bleeder, pumped the pedal several times, then opened and closed the bleeder while holding the pedal to the floor. I repeated that several times to make sure I got all the air out.

Yea that's what my friend at the parts store told me too, but for whatever reason it didn't work for mine. I think the shop can fix it for pretty cheap and being in college i have little to no time to work on it. Thanks for all of the advice, though!

When I got my truck back after a clutch replacement, the clutch would only start to engage after pressing the pedal to the halfway point. It shifted fine though.

A week later it "bled itself" somehow and has been working fine since.
