Best add-on back-up lights
Hi guys,
I'm looking to add some back-up lights. Suprisingly Ford actually has the 2 holes in the bottom of the rear bumper. They sell these things everywere, but what are some good ones? Who really likes theirs?
I really need to get these in before winter, too dark and hard to see back there.

I put these on my 2002 F350 4x4 CC SB SRW 7.3L. Great lights. I got the flood lights. Wal-Mart use to have these for $11.88 each but they stopped carrying them. Northern Tool also use to carry them. Now they only have the bigger ones.

Those look pretty bright. Do you know the manufacturer?
I saw these on Ebay. I kind of like the size. Anyone tried them?

This would be the way to wire them like that, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post10710484

The bottom of my bumper does have a hole at each end. Looks perfect to mount up some lights. How did Ford actually have the holes in there??? There must have been an alternative motive for them.

Look at the reverse lights in this picture ALUMINUM TRUCK FLATBED BODIES | TRUCK BODY | STAKE BODIES | CUSTOM FLATBEDS
Those are what that style of light you linked to should look like.
Personally I have some cheapo's from oreillys dropped down from the holes in the corners of the bumper like miles only mine are round, cheap enough to just replace, since h4 bulbs are not much less expensive.

Once I get the money I'm going to have these Delta Tech 2529-50 - Delta Tech Delta 250 Rectangular Clear Driving Light Pair - Quadratec in a quad mount on the rear bumper with a override shut off switch.

I did the lights shown in this giant thread:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...with-pics.html
I like them. It was critically important to me that they not be damaged off-roading, and these are tucked up so tight that it would be really hard to drag them off. I've had them for 2-3 years now, and they are holding up fine.
Hanging off the bumper would never work for me.

I called Autozone and they said part #UW3534 cannot be ordered. No Autozone can provide these

No, not on bottom of bumper. They would get scraped off for sure. I mounted them to the receiver hitch.
I know it is a long thread, but if you read through it all there is a lot of info, including pictures of how I mounted mine. Other guys used Velcro, but I wouldn't do that.
The autozone website is the pits, but here is a link to the lights.
