Arrow Heated Mirrors are annoying me!

I run convex mirrors on my mirrors to get close in coverage. They really kill the blinds spots. Between these, the OEM convex mirrors, and the big section, I have a pretty good coverage while driving.

Only problem is my heated mirrors. They keep causing the adhesive to loosen and then the darn small mirrors fall off.
I've lost 2 so far in 1 month. Previously, I have only lost 1 mirror on probably 5-6 vehicles in 10 yrs, Luckily this last time I noticed before driving off.
Anybody disabled the heat on the mirrors? I'm thinking about doing a simple toggle/rocker switch. Place it next to my power pedal switch. That way when I finally leave Hawaii I will still have the functionality.

Yeah you can switch off the power to the heat. On my phone now and can't remember exactly which wire it is. Did you try a forum search? Also, Google c-betr mirrors. They mount on the mirror arms and work way better than the stick on mirrors.

Better yet, get some high temp adhesive and apply it to the rear of the spot mirrors and then they won't fall off due to the heat, and you can keep the functionality of the heated glass, without having to modify anything.

Tell ya what, because I'm such a nice guy, if you send me your heated mirrors I will send you my own personal pair of power non-heated mirrors.

I'm pretty awesome like that!

I put a switch in my heated mirror circuit so I can turn them on only when I need them. Completely pointless to have them heating constantly.

See this page for info about how I did this on my '04. Almost all the way at the bottom of the page...

Good luck!

I really don't see why everyone claims that there are blindspots with the 99-07 mirrors. I have no issues. Just point them away from the truck and you are fine. You need to see the road, not the side of the vehicle.

I haven't noticed any blind spots either. I was going to get '08+ mirrors during my rebuild, but due to the cost, I may just pick up a set of used '07- mirrors instead. With the lower convex mirror aimed correctly, they are great. I tend to use the lower convex mirrors primarily when checking traffic since they have a wider viewing angle.

I do the same thing. The lower mirror allows me to see the side of the truck, and the two lanes next to me, no blind spots. I think too many people on here drive with their mirrors aimed too far in, showing too much of the truck vs. the road.

The C-betr mirrors come in handy when towing a trailer. When the mirrors are extended, the convex mirrors can slide out as well. Helps see things like the tires, curbs etc. Also, when towing an RV, the mirrors help identify low hanging branches or low clearance overhangs at fuel stations etc.

When not towing, the mirrors give a totally clear view of the stripes denoting the parking space so it's really easy to back into virtually any space. (In our part of the country the distance between rows in a parking lot is pretty tight so we must park backwards or we might not get back out of the space if someone else with a long vehicle is in the space across the way.) Now that we have the mirrors, my wife will not drive either one of our trucks without them.

Every single one of my Super Duty owning friends who have driven my truck with the C-betr mirrors has immediately gone out and purchased a set for their truck. They are that good.
