I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question, just assumed the answer would be in this year range?
My buddy is just curious, what was the first year for digital/computer odometer?
Looking to find a year cut-off because he's looking for a truck, and doesn't want one that could easily be "rolled back" with the old mechanical odometers.
Any tire size difference, and the change can be adjusted via the odometer....BUT, IIRC, you only get 4-5 times of swapping the adjustments, then you have to take it to the dealer...
on that note ive always been curious as to why my brothers 95 f150 XL has a digital odometer and my dads 98 f150 XLT has a mechanical one? doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me, did ford think the electronic ones werent very reliable?

My '03 E250 has an analog odometer (digitally controlled, though, I'm fairly sure--probably not cable-driven like the '91 and earlier F-series trucks).
