yeah, that's a cassette player not an 8 track.
stop making us feel so old,by not knowing the difference!
(is now a bad time to admit i still own a huge collection of cassettes though? lol.)
these where the 8 tracks before your time i guess Aune.
you couldn't fast forward or rewind like you could the cassette taps.
you just had a couple buttons that would jump ahead/back.
but if you where good, you could hear the song you wanted again by flipping the tape, and hitting the buttons just right so that when ya flipped it,youd be real close to start the song again.....it took a little practice to do that though haha.......so i guess im remembering, you didn't have reverse then, just FF or one or the other.something like that.it's been a couple yrs,and they where just barely in my time as is lol.

Really? Huh, i've never seen an OBS truck with an AM only radio.
Bricknoses are rare enough to find with AM radios, can't imagine an OBS.
And it's not that there really rare...is that it's hard to find a 20+ year old truck still hasn't had decent tunage installed in it in the past decades!
And it's pretty obvious where the AM radios end up.... trash can

This one is out of a friends work truck, I put the AM/FM/cassette out of my 97 bird in his truck and just hung on to the AM for the heck of it.. It's the ONLY I have ever seen.. This was back in 98 or 99...

I've only seen 2 in trucks, an 87 F350 box truck Diesel taht had an accident that I stopped to have a look at it for body parts, years ago, guy wanted 4k for it just because it was a 6.9/5 speed.
And another one was at an auction, 1989 F350 crew cab 4x4 Diesel 5 speed, with 30k miles, government truck from the north. 0 rust, lots of dents. That sold for 4100$ at the auction. I see that truck run around here with a trailer all the time now. I wanna see if hes still got the radio in there, I'd trade him a working CD player for it.

I'm not all that interested in an 70's AM radio, as those were fairly common. I will be getting one from a 1968 Plymouth Fury III from my Aunt when she finds an 8 track one, or at least with FM. lol
And I got 2 boxes full of working 8 tracks.
Some of you might laugh at me for this, but few months ago, one of my favorite Hank William Sr. 8 tracks ****ed up. I actually popped open the case, found where the tape broke, and taped with electrical tape, the 2 pieces back together.
Works great again Just missing a small shot of a song.
