MAC's new starter motor problems

Glad to see that you solved your problem, Jonas. My "new" starter motor from MAC's groans a lot but does eventually get the engine started. One of my friends reasons that the newly rebuilt engine is "tight" and that is why the starter works so hard. Not sure about that, but over the winter I plan to take my original starter to an electrical shop for repair.

The good news is that once the engine gets started, it runs smoothly and I drove it up and down the driveway for the first time yesterday!
