New Gauges Installed(pics)

I got my new gauges so I thought I would show how I did it. I wanted new gauges all were going bad if not gone all the way. I didnt want to make a whole new dash, wanted to keep the stock dash and just put new gauges in. took a drill and drilled out all four corners in the openings. used my dremel with cut off wheel and cut from back side. used a sandpaper wheel on the dremel and smooth everything out. cut out a new back piece with holes on plazma table at work, screwed it in with original screws, threw some flat black on it. all fits pertty good. tight for two 2" gauges, but fit. just need to get it all wired back in. Got new speedo cable and 02 sensor coming. just need to figure out what wires are gas gauge though. any help what be great thanks.

I really like that! I am having issues with my gauge lights not working and this is a great looking fix to my problem as well. Would you be willing to share info on where you purchased those, part numbers, general pricing and what kind of real time it took to install? I would like to do this same thing to my 78 4x4.
Thanx,
Jim

I agree with everyone else that it looks great, but...

I used to have those gauges in my truck and after a couple of years they got to where the needles would stick and I would have to thump them to try to jar the needle loose sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. It just got annoying driving around with 0 oil pressure and cold engine temp. LOL The volt meter still works though I actually have it mounted in my 01 Montero Sport now.

I got them all on amazon, few parts from summit. you can buy all from local autozone, but about 100.00 cheaper online. by the time done just under 300.00 installed. I have about 4 hours into it as of right now. not wired in yet. probably another 4 hours to finish and put back together. I will show picture of lights on when done.

I see one thing missing... High beam indicator. Otherwise, bang up job man.
