New to this Forum
Hey all, just found this forum and thought it would be a great place to gain some knowlege as to the restoration project my buddy and I started.
We found a 48 F1 that needs quite a bit of TLC but we are looking forward to the day we can take it for a cruise!
I read some of the threads and this place looks like a great place to learn from your projects.

There are lots of good articles on this site. John Niolon has some great ones.
TRIALS OF A FIRST TIME BUILDER
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A CLASSIC FORD TRUCK
Be sure to get yourself a shop manual and I always recommend this manual.
1948-56 Ford Truck Master Parts Catalog CD - HiPo Parts Garage
The thread at the top of this forum: Read First 48/60 Forum Tips, Tricks, How To's! has a lot of good info.
Don't be afraid to ask questions. The search feature is your friend, but I think you have to have 25 posts to use it....can't remember for sure.

Thanks for the Welcome...I can see that I could spend way too much time here, but I'm willing to take the chance.
I'm the second owner of "Piglet" (My wife ("The War Dept.) named it.) and have registration certificates going back into the 60's. An obvious farm truck, and I'd be surprised if she'd do 60 MPH full out. I'm going to stick with the original 226H flathead 6. As a matter of fact the engine is in the machine shop now. I think it's a good thing I'm not in a hurry, because the machinist appears to not be hurry either. While I wait, I'm restoring the starter, the generator, and rebuilding the carb (today's project).
