New here...questions
Hello everyone...I am a Fedex tech who most of my career have worked on diesel powered stuff....Recenty they transferred some trucks in here (2007 E250 vans with the 4.6) and I am getting some check engine lights. I have no real scanner, just a snap-on reader that I hooked up...
1st truck has a code of po506
2nd truck has 3....po 300,307 and 442...
any help would be great...I hope I put this in the right spot for the E250
thanks
Bill

First off Welcome to FTE!
Using the search and the articles available here at FTE I found the following;
Here is a link to a code chart;
EEC-V OBD-II Diagnostic Codes .: Articles
The p0300 is a misfire detected
p0307 is the misfire is in plug 7
p0442 is Leak In Evaporative System Detected
P0506 IAC below specs
From a FTE thread;
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...-problems.html
CEl came back on so hooked up the code reader and got a P0506 Idle Control System-Low RPM. Base on my research I'm thinking it is the idle air control valve.
Last night I decided to clean the throttle body and clean the MAF sensor at the same time. This morning on the way to work, truck idled great!
From another thread;
Wilber is right on. After cleaning out the throttle body with carb cleaner and a small brush, error code p0506 did not return and my O5 F150 4.6L is idling much better.
There is a forum for the E series https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum128/
however for an answer to something as common across model lines it was fine here
There is also a engine forum for the 4.6L; https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum48/
