My drivers seat is broken.. what are my options for swapping in 99+ seats?

I just picked up a 97 F250 ext cab long bed truck. It has a blue interior with captains chairs and the center console. The drivers seat is broken... does not move forward (handle broken off), the back does not stay up, and the back frame of the seat is bent. Needs replaced.

I have a 99 F350 with the 40/20/40 style seats that I really like. If I were to find a set of these what would it entail to swap them in? Would it be a lot less hassle to just look for another captains chair for the OBS trucks?

Also I would like to raise the seat up an inch or two. Would that be possible?

Anything is possible with a bit of fabrication. If your seat bracket is bent and you wanna raise the seat a few inches then just modify that one. Really I think as long as you can find a way to safely fasten a seat to your trucks style seat bracket you should be good. Safely was the the keyword there.

amen on that, if you can take your 99+ seats and get a bracket fabed up that will let you SAFELY mount the seats to what ever track/brackets/hardware is there in your truck you should be good to go, and I will be keeping watch and waiting for pictures
