99 f150 front seat

Hello, I have been looking for this answer because I saw it months ago but can not find it again. I have a 79 bronco with bucket seats and want to install a bench seat from a 99 f150.
I already have the bench seat frame from a 77 supercab and want to install a 40/60 split in my Bronco.
I read someplace here on FTE that these seats are narrower than the 73-79 benches. Is that correct? Is there much fabracating that needs to be done so each side will still slide independent of each other? I can drill holes for mounting but I can not weld. I'm not crazy about putting this in but the misses wants a bench seat so she can sit beside me.
Any input would greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance, Chris

We both want the high back like a bucket not the low back as typical of a dent side bench.

I'm not sure about using a 99 F150 seat BUT I know lots of guys have swapped the OBS seats in the 78/79 bronco's. Most go with the 40/20/40 seats due to being able to using the middle jump seat as a third seat when needed or flip it down and you have a nice console with cup holders!!

Go over to Fullsizebronco.com you will see more options for seat swaps there!

Old Body Style....you need a 73-79 bench seat frame w/sliders and the top part of the 99 seat should bolt on and then bolt in.

77&79 250- - I already have the 73-79 bench seat FRAME. So drill some different holes in the seat frame and the 99 seat will bolt in?
Is it to tall? Will it hit the roof?
Thank you

I have read on here that up to a 96 will bolt right in (put on the 73-79 frame). It could be to tall if you leave the 99 bottom part mount feet and slider stuff?
