Im rebuilding my 4r100 now, so should this be included in the rebuild?

The 6.0 cooler is much bigger and will offer superior cooling power

There are two versions. A 26 row and a 31. Both are a big improvement. If you want even more cooling go with a 31 row cooler.
They are both bolt on upgrades.

A 6.0 cooler depending on size (26 vs 31 row) is about 2.75 to 3.5 times the size of the 7.3 cooler. I wouldn't get hung up on the number of rows...both cool very well and really one isn't that much better than the other.
Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market , I got one of this site for $100.

Also, slightly off topic; if you're rebuilding your 4R100 it might be worth investing in an in-line "spin on" type filter kit.

I've deff thought about it! I appreciate all the helpful input I've gotten. New trans cooler on the way!

With the filters make sure it has a bypass valve in the head and can flow enough. A 4R100 with a locked TC can flow about 3-4 GPM.

You can buy the kit from dieselsite and they will set you up good.

Here is a little help for you on both topics.
6.0 Cooler Write-up
External Filter Write-up
I put these together to help others save time and money figuring out how to do it.

Yeah, basically all that is a Baldwin OB1318 base, which you can pick up for like 25-40 bucks. A few more dollars in hose barbs and your done.
