Question Starting problems

Hey all. I've posted on here before and have had great success, and am hoping this will have the same outcome. I have an 88 F250 XLT Lariat 7.5/460 EFI 4X4 with a C6 tranny and I'm having problems starting it. There is no pattern to it other than it seems like it's harder to start after it's hot and sits for a few minutes. It's still hard to start when it's cold but that's 50/50. When it's hot it's all the time after it sites for a few minutes. If I turn it off then start it within a few seconds it will start without a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Had the same problem on my 300 I6, turned out to be a lemon starter. The big chain parts houses don't sell the best rebuilt stuff...

I did change out the battery/starter cables, dist cap, plugs and wires, etc. on it too, because some of this stuff hadn't been changed in a decade or so... none of that ever hurts.

That seems like either a worn starter or weak connection, usually what causes this is a loose ground.

problems starting it ?
is it turning over at a good speed ?
if so then it may be fuel or electrical !
hows the battery and all the cables ?
do you have headers on there ? if so then the starter may need wrapping or the headers may need wrapping !
