I can't speak on the programming part because I didn't try it, but I suspect it wouldn't work.
some of the 04-08 F-150 guys had that same issue. Not all though
they used some sandpaper and clearanced ignition...not sure how much I want to do that on the truck. thanks for pointing that out. I still haven't gotten my key cut

Been awhile since I did an update. Got some goodies in, some of it was even installed. Haven't mustered up the required care factor yet to install some.

Installed:
Gearheads SRL Tune
MBRP "Test" Pipe
Glowshift Gages (Fuel Press, Boost, EGT, Oil Press)
Scangauge II
Black Chrome Exhaust tip (5" by 12")
Bushwacker Pocket Flares
Custom Mudflaps using Ford floormats
Waiting, but I'm lazy
MBRP 3.5" Downpipe
XScorpion Voltmeter
Ford Blue Spring Upgrade Kit (one with new cover)
6.4 Banjo Bolts

I apparently haven't touched the truck since October.

Just installed the Blue spring mod this afternoon. I was watching my fuel pressure yesterday and saw it dip to <50 psi several times

scared me

30 minutes of time and now she is upgraded. solid 72-74 psi at light throttle, 65 psi at WOT.

holy hell this should have been the first upgrade. truck runs smoother, and she feels...peppier...much more responsive. Almost as much a difference as going from stock tuning to my SRL tune. Wish I'd done this earlier

Nice low miles man, I would delete the egr entirely. How are your coolant and oil temperature deltas?

13,6xx miles today! I've been deployed a bit this year so it isn't getting driven much

1F-5F in town
5-6F at 60 MPH for ECT/EOT spread. I've seen up to 9F for short periods...but never stays there

EGR is currently turned off in PCM. Cooler and valve will stay installed. Most likely will do sneaky delete when/if I have to tear into the motor

Can you tell us a bit more about the newer key/fob mod? How easy was it to program? Where did you get your key/fob? Do you have to take it apart to cut it?

The PATS part doesn't work on 99-07 superduty. only on 08+

I bought the key used and cut the old "cut" key out...then epoxied another new uncut blank into it's place. I've done this before on my 09 Mustang key and it worked perfectly

you program the clicker part just like you would an other remote/clicker for your Ford.

only problem with the integrated key/clicker is that it doesn't fit the key slot on the 99-07 trucks. It's too wide. A real shame too. I went through all the effort to retrofit the damn thing and it won't work in my truck. Guess I've got it as a spare key for my Flex though. So there is a bright side.

I know you can remove and replace the lock cylinder. I wonder if a new lock cylinder that DOES fit the new key would fit.... Say from an expedition? They have a lot of crossover parts right?
