Pilot bushing removal
#2
First, find a rod, bolt, or shaft that is the same diameter as the ID of the pilot bushing. I have even used my clutch alignment tool before. Second, pack the hole in the pilot bushing full of grease. Third, insert the rod, shaft or whatever into the hole in the pilot bushing and smack it with a big hammer. This will create hydraulic pressure behind the bushing and pop it out. It may take several times of packing and smacking to get the job done but it will usually work. Redneck way of doing it I know but it works!!!!!

But he said it is hour glassed now, so maybe find a slide hammer with a small enough hook attatchment or screw in attatchment and see if you can screw it in to the side of the bushing. Also since the grease will oozzz out around said inserted shaft or bolt try the wet toilet paper trick shoved in there instead of grease it will work also. Its a bronze/oil lite bushing and if all else fails maybe you could chisel at it till it breaks apart (get those safety glasses on for any of this)
