E4OD no reverse??

Hey all, I have a 1990 f250 7.3 IDI with a banks turbo and an E4OD. the truck has been running and driving perfectly ever since i got it three weeks ago. well, i installed a new IP and new injectors on it yesterday. i was on my way to the store this morning and everything was going great. then, when i got on my driveway, i noticed a tree had fallen across. the driveway is VERY steep so i just parked the truck, set the ebrake, and went and cut up the tree. well i hopped back in the truck and cranked it up and let the trans temp get up to normal again before i took off. the whole way up the driveway i could hear the tranny slipping. i pulled off at my neighbors house which is on a flat piece of land thinking that the fluid just got pushed to the back of the tranny. i got the truck all the way up the rest of the driveway and shut it off in the carport. i mowed the lawn and did a couple other things then went to hop in the truck and leave. while the truck was still in park, i can mash the gas and it tries to push itself forward but it will not actually go anywhere. it acts like it is in gear but with the ebrake on. it does the same in reverse. it doesnt try to go backwards, only forwards. it doesnt even have neutral. neutral is like the truck is in overdrive. i can drive the truck forwards just fine in either neutral, OD, 2, or 1. but it WILL NOT budge in reverse. fluid level is fine, pressures good, idk what else to check. any suggestions? sorry for the long post just trying to be accurate

Now that we are off the common sense DOH moments . Onto more serious matters, its a possiblity with The condition you described it might be a hard part failure, clutch failure, leak on the reverse hydralic circuit or any combination of the above.

EDIT: Pull your engine & transmission trouble codes, and post those codes here, I am not a E4OD guru, but F250HDXLT is, and he will help you to his whits end.

Are any plugs loose on the transmission, any wires melted or not plugged in?

How about the side of you IP? It the sensor there tight? Is the o/d light blinking?

Not an expert but what color is the trans fluid? Does it smell burnt?
Sounds like the forward clutch pack has welded itself together.

all plugs tight and in good shape on the trans and the IP. Trans fluid is still good and healthy red. when i put it in neutral, the truck will roll back on the hill, but if i give it gas, it starts driving forward.

Still sounds like the forward clutch pack.
Hopefully other opinions will follow.

i hope not because my house is on top of a huge hill and there isnt any way to get a rollback or anything up here to take it up to the transmission place. if it was anything wrong with the sensors or something i could do it but ive never really worked on a tranny before. at least not automatics. i can rebuild a t5 out of a mustang but im lost when it comes to this thing.
