In bed tool box
Hi,
I have just purchased a 2011 short bed Lariet and need an in bed tool box. I am trying to decide whether to get a black box or the regular chrome colored box. The truck is solid white with a black sprayed in liner. I have never owed an in bed box so I am open for any and all advice but I would really like to hear pro's and con's about the two colors. Do the black boxes fade over time? Is one color easier to maintain than the other? Any suggestions as to which brand?
Thanks in advance for taking time to reply.

For brand it will make a bit of difference as to where you live. In Florida UWS is a great box for less than the competitors offer. Out of Florida I don't know. I want to say UWS and Weather Guard are great brands and DeeZee has a pretty good latch system.
Color really comes down to ascetics, Black powder holds up really well, but so will polished diamond plate with a little care. The Black box will get a little hotter so it's more important to verify the lid is insulated. The silver will stay a little cooler, but the insulated lid is still very nice.
