Goot to know! I would love to update to the newer rear springs. I just want to add rear bags for towing when I occasionally do.

Bump... I also would like to know how the ride is from the original 05 springs to the 2011 springs... Looking into doing this on my F350 DRW if I could find the springs gently used...

Got another question, what about traction bars? I know a lot of bolt on ones use the bottom of the axle, is this a no go now that the ubolts are flipped upside down? Also is it possible to use the 08-10 style mounting system or are you required to flip the ubolts?

EDIT: I answered my own question about the traction bars, but I'm still interested if its possible to use the 08-10 ubolt system.

I'm going to bump again lol. Really curious to hear how well the ride is going from the 05 springs to the 2011 springs.. Considering doing that to my truck if I could find some springs.

If you want you can get the hangers then get some 08 lift springs which probably ride better than 99-07 lift springs. That is what I plan to do eventually if i lift the truck a little more, a 5" rear lift spring and drop the block down to a 1" block to total 4" of lift with a better ride.

I've considered doing that. However once he did the 2011 springs, I think that might be an even better route. The one draw back to the 2011 springs is I'll have to remove the stock hangers (nbd to me) and It might want to squat under heavy weight... not a big deal either to me... Looking for more of a better ride more than anything.

Any ideas where I could get a gently used set of 2011+ springs??

Craigslist or eBay probably, best bet would be craigslist i bet because if someone lifted their truck and replaced the springs locally they will probably practically give them away since they wont need them anymore.

For the squatting i was just going to add airbags when i eventually do mine becasue i rarely tow but probably will a lot in the future.

11 springs on a 99

Hi all how are you all
I have not seen what everyone should be doing as far as this upgrade is concerned.
Why are you all spending 3 to 400 dollars for the bracket
When you can just use the factory one moved forward.
take it out and put back holes of bracket where the front holes were drill more and bolt it up

add springs and there ya go. 3 hundred clams buying the beer for the next tailgate party.
Yes it works just did it this weekend

I like the design of the new brackets better and didn't want to mess with reusing the old brackets.
