Another Spoiler/Air Dam option

I wanted an air dam on my truck. I searched only to find one person that has put one on their truck (the 2011 superduty air dam). I wanted something different. So I went on the hunt to find one I liked. I ended up finding one from a 92-96 Lightning. I had to fabricate a mount since the curvature of the lightning does not match the bump front bumper. I had a 96"x6" sheet of 1/8 aluminum sheet leftover from the interior job on my 48 Plymouth so I made a template of the lightning air dam and a template of the 72's bumper and overlapped them to make the mount. Here is the air dam installed.

and with a set of LED driving lights installed.

Nice clean install...I think about adding one when I take my truck out to the salt flats, won't be soon but my plans are more towards closing off the entire lower front and then skirting it between the wheels. And of course, taking off the camper special mirrors.

And what exactly is the point of such a device other than to scrape driveways and speed bumps?

(I know what they do, just don't see why a bump needs one)

Sally didn't need one, she just wanted one. And Sally gets what Sally wants. LOL
