tool box lock/lift handle

tool box lock/lift handle
HELLLLLLLLLLLP just been to my truck to get spanner out of the passenger side tool box and the handle just lifts no operation of release catch so it wont open,,who stock them and is there any factory diagram,do i need to remove all the screws and remove whole box from bed to gain acces to lock or drill out lock etc,any help would be appreciated,

Yankee Screwdriver

When I lived in Australia my mates would call this a Yankee screwdriver
to give me a bit of a hard time, might work? we call it a BFH.
Unless the door is loose enough to jimmy it open, you may need a Smith.
Could try to lube the top of the latch some.
I can send you a pdf of the lock as an exploded view, here's a photo
of it on my laptop screen, not too clear?
Don't look like taking the box off of the truck will help much because
there's only one way in to her box. Thru the front door.
