Solid Front axle

I got a 1990 f-250 doing a frame swap to a 89 rolling chassis. Since everything is easy to get to I would like to do a solid front axle swap. A buddy of mine has a early 80's f-350 will the solid front axle from that bolt right up? If not what would have to be done.
Thanks

I would think it would. Click the search button and enter "sas" in the box and click search and you will get a ton of info.

No it won't bolt up. You need an axle from a '85.5 to '97 F350. You could probably get it to fit with a little fab work though.
