skyjacker 9inch lift kit
I got a 79 f150 4x4 351w and a 4speed. I want to get the 9inch lift kit for it. My only question is will the front or rear drive shafts need lengthend? And what about the cross member. Will that need redone to clear the front drive shaft? Just need to know so I can get those done then order the kit and do it all at once. If any one knows or has done this the help would be great. And pics would be even better. Thanks.

Yeah, the lifts are pretty decent in price. I forget what i paid for my lift but it was under a grand.
1978 ford f150 short bed. 9" skyjacker suspension, 39" super swampers on 15x12 Wheels. Dana 44 front, 9" rear both with 5:13 gears and detriot lockers. 429 Big block with 4 sp tranny. Not much, but its what i got. . Good luck with your build.

measured for new driveshafts when i lifted the truck, dont remember the dimensions, i also put a small notch in the crossmember for a little more clearance for the fromt drive shaft. Not really necessary, but i did it to mine. any drivetrain shop can make new driveshafts for you. My friend works at a shop that make driveshafts and did mines for a case of beer.. The skyjacker is a good lift. I have no complaints. kit came with everything you need to do it. Be sure to post pics of the truck when finished..
