wanting to put disc front brakes on my 53 f-100 need help and advice do i have to put a kit or can i use parts from other trucks or cars to achieve this.

 

You will need a kit. Check with Speedway Motors for one...

 

putting on power disc on my 51 f1 and I got everything from classic haulers but a lot of companies out there so search on the net. I had to make some mods but I am using a rack and pinion steering and using a 4.5" wheel bolt pattern to match my dana 60 rearend

That looks like the way I'm going to go also, that's a pretty darn good price.

 

$286 is a great deal for what you're getting, but your comparison is apples and oranges. At $649, you also get the matching master cylinder, booster, brackets, and all the other goodies you need to complete your system. The stuff you're buying is pretty much useless without all the parts necessary to make it work.

ahh...didn't know about the booster and m/c included in that kit.
I already had that bracket and m/c so I didn't need to buy it in a kit. Good point.

but it is probably more like comparing 3/4 of an apple to a whole apple...
