Angry SuperChip For 4.2L V6 F150 ???

So I got a Superchip off ebay for cheap. It's blue, it has a number on the back, 001147. I looked on Superchips website but they don't list all the numbers of thier chips. Anybody know what this chip can fit? and can they be easily reprogrammed to work with any engine?

I installed the chip and it did NOTHING. So I assume it's the wrong chip.

Thanks in advance for any info.

That number is a serial number. The chip has to be programmed for your truck's specific ECU code. Simply matching the year, model, engine and tranny isn't enough. The chip can be programmed any Ford gas engine, 1986-present (except V10s).

In order for us to reprogram the chip we'll need the ECU code. Its three letters followed by one number (example: YEU2 or SNL3). You can find it on the passenger side door frame on a sticker nears the hinges. If the sticker is gone, remove the passenger side kick panel and you'll need the computer behind it up on the firewall. The code will be on a sticker on the side of the computer box facing the back of the truck.

SuperChip For 4.2L V6 F150 ???

When I installed the chip, I had to pop off a metal piece. The piece has the number: AAT3. is this what I need? Can you reprogram this chip? If so how much?

AAT3 is the code, assuming your truck's computer has not been reflashed at some point. Yes, we can reprogram all Ford Superchips modules. If it is a very old chip it may not have a large enough ROM for your truck's computer --- if that is the case then you bought a useless chip (it will only be usable on older Fords).

Pricing is here:
