Best oil analysis lab?
Hey guys, the management team here in typical iso9000 form has decided to move our lab down ~100' towards a pod of test stands so as to save 100' of walking (apparently this 100' walk will save more money than telling them to stop surfing the internet) stupid kaizans. Anyway, I'm losing access to the lab for about a month and need to find a substitute for oil analysis. Any ideas? Are there any out there with a more comprehensive test than Blackstone but with a good price point?
Thanks in advance!

I have used Blackstone, Polaris, and Butler. I have also used MRT Labs. They are all fine. I will say that Blackstone has an estimating equation for the fuel dilution (off of the flash point value) while Polaris does it by GC - which is more accurate.
Here is the list of all of them I could find (it is a few years old):

I just got a link to Blackstone's monthly newsletter. This month they have featured how they calculate fuel dilution. Here is the link if anyone is interested in reading it in more detail: http://www.blackstone-labs.com/Newsl...m_medium=email
