4" of backspace on either wheel gives the same bed clearance. In fact the 6.5" wheel may give less due to sidewall bulge. Since you now have more fender clearance with the 6.5" wheel, you have some leeway with spacers to hep solve the bed clearance problem if there is one. I went through this exercise a while back and I'll say it again, mount one up and try it. Don't forget, the more you lower the truck, the more the sidewall width comes into play.
I got the tires put on the smaller wheels. To my surprise it made the tire about an inch and a half skinnier which will fix my worries with hitting the fender thank goodness. Ill post some pics of the wheel and tire later tonight.
