E brakes were sticking so I took off wheels, rotors, calipers, and cleaned the E Brake caliper and lubed it. Started driving and E brakes are still sticking? What gives? Could the cable be hung up?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Wonder if I should replace the E brake cables.

 

Cable could be hung up...or the pedal in the cab is depressed.
You should be able to grab the cable from the driver's side rear wheel well, in front of the wheel. Give it a few tugs. Mine likes to freeze up in the winter months...just enough to have the light come on.

 

I read a thread where a guy had all the symptoms as I did. He replaced everything lubed all of the parts and his E brakes were still seizing up. Finally someone suggested he change the brake hose on the caliper and VOILA! everything was okay! It seems the hose was clogged up. I am going to replace both caliper hoses and hope for the best.
