Anybody want an E4OD for $350?

Hey guys, I know there are some who would probably like to jump on this if you're close to NE Ohio. Seems like a good deal. Apparently the guy wasn't an FTE member or someone would have corrected him before he bought an E4OD instead of a 4R100!

Transmission powerstroke e40d

Either that or he bought a diesel E4OD when he needed a gas 4R100. Did the '98 even use a 4R100 or was it a 4R70W? I have to believe he has a 5.4L since the PSD was a no show for '98 and the V-10 wasn't an option yet.

The vans had the V10 since 1997. They also had a diesel in 1998. There was a 1998 model year van. The van transmission is identical to a 4x2 F series trans for the same engine.

I think BuckHammer should buy it. Just to get him a reliable rig that he can drive for more than 5 miles!

No idea, I haven't talked to the guy but even if it is rebuild-able, $350 isn't a bad deal.

The only contact info I have for this guy (it isn't my tranny) is in the link in my first post. Seems like it should make somebody a good deal. Not sure the guy knows what he has or whether it is a 4x4 or 4x2 trans, but it might be worth a look.

The transmission is only 2wd. I called him and he said he has another transmission for like $100 but I didn't ask about it. And he doesn't kno if it's in working order. The 2wd works he said
