Mag Lite Mount

I cant take credit for this idea, I saw it somewhere. So if anyone knows who came up with it feel free to post their name.

I was going to get a rechargeable Maglite and tie it in to the trucks power, but they were about $80.. And I already had a perfectly good almost new LED D cell Maglite laying around. So instead I spent about $6 for the mounting kit

Ignore the coffee stain below the flashlight.

FYI, 2000 Excursions have a smaller seat belt 'bulge' in the B pillar, but if you place the brackets close (say 1 - 1 1/4" apart) it will still work. Mounting mine tomorrow.

Here it comes...First stupid question of the day!!

Are the mounts just screwed into the plastic, or is there something more substantial behind the plastic???
