Has anyone had experience with replacing the bushings in the TTB arms? One of the bushing on my 91 F-150 4x4 is looking a little rough. I have never had the pleasure of replacing a set of these. Are they hard to get out and back into the arms. I also wonder if urethane bushings are a good idea for a replacement. Any thoughts appreciated.
I replaced them on my 95 F150 last summer in my driveway, using only hand tools. I would plan on fully removing the front axle out from under the truck and replacing the radius arm bushings at the same time, it will make things much easier
It wouldn't hurt to replace the radius arm bushings too. They are looking beat. Where did you source your bushings for the TTB arms? Were they Ford or aftermarket? Thanks for the input.
Moog makes good stuff. Yeah, sometimes it is hard to get the right parts. The generic pictures offered by some parts houses don't help. I miss the days of real catalogs when you could cross reference things and such. I still have an old Moog catalog. I try to hang onto these as you never know when you can use them. What did you use to push the bushings out of the axle?
I got to go to the Moog training center in St. Louis in 1987. The Firestone dealer I worked for at the time sent me there for training. They carried Moog parts. Moog does a good job of improving things where they can to make a better part.
