the latch bar on my sliding rear window doesn't stick on the glass anymore, what kinda adhesive should I use to reattach it?

3M double sided adhesive should work well, just follow the directions before applying

Id rather use rear view mirror adhesive, 3m tape can come off if it gets really hot.

georgiaboy, I believe a visit to rockauto will fix your problem, I've looked this up myself and there are quite a few threads on that little sliding window tab. I believe this is it DORMAN Part # 76989 Rear Sliding Window Latch. You will also probably want to clean out the track the glass slides on to help the glass close.

I grabbed a couple from the junkyard so I have one on backup in my glove box. Since I broke the latch once I've tried to use the rear window sparingly now.

a headache rack will fit that real quick. i just custom built mine and 20mins after install i locked my keys in the truck with it running. i had a coat hanger in the toolbox luckily.

not really shure like i said i built mine so i could put my tool box on. and my rear latch has been broken since day one and their isnt any one getting trough the rear window. when i was in school we would use a credit card to un-latch them from the outside any how.so the only way i can see to prevent that is with a solid rear window, a headache rack or even a gun rack that fits in the slider track on the inside.
