strange 48-52 running board???

A friend of mine just bought a nice all original 1951 f-1 that only had some rust in the running boards. The seller included what he bought as NOS running boards.

When my friend showed them to me they were the correct length for an f-1 BUT the back edge was strait across with no curve to match fender. they were not cut down f-2 running boards either they were stamped with a strait across back edge and a factory pressed flange???

Has anyone seen running boards like this before or know what they are from?

We can easily modify them to work for his truck by cutting and welding BUT I hate to destroy something supper rare if someone else needs them??

I think I've seen boards like what you described on a F-1 or F-2 flatbed. I had always thought flatbeds had the same shorty boards from F-1 to F-6 but the truck I saw looked like the boards came from the factory. If I find a picture I'll post it.
