help with radius arm bolt?

Hi everyone! Just wondered if anyone has run across this?Have an 02 e-150. Front of radius arm (where bolted to i-beam) is actually worn some & is moving when stopping. Already removed rear bolts, sway bar & coil spring but the long bolt that connects radius to i-beam is seized.(bolt under coil spring) Tried impact spray, breaker with pipe & torches!! not so much as budging! Got the big nut off the bottom but bolt wont move. Anyone ever removed one of these or any clue how to break this bad boy loose? any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi! Thnx for writin` back! Using o/a. didnt get it cherry red cause someone said there are "unservicable" bushings right there in the i beam But got it pretty dang hot, broke 2 sockets. Well, I guess as hot as it was, if there r bushings, they`re prolly screwed anyhow!Ya think I should just go for the cherry red or say scew it & spend the 400. for a new i beam? Never had something not come loose using torches!lol thnx again!

Seems to me those radius arm>I Beam bolts can only be removed via a 3/4" impact tool---like heavy truck repair shops use. The nuts are a "locking" type that have high prevailing torque so heat won't really affect them unless the heat is hot enough to basically melt them.

While this job can be done by hand there isn't a 1/2" drive tool that'll do it--has to be 3/4" or even 1".

If replacement of the radius arm or I Beam is now necessary those should be readily available in any good salvage yard---one who'll remove it for you rather than the pick n pull types.

Hope any of this is helpful!

Moving real slow but atleast moving, can you believe it snapped the bolt?? Holy crap!! well, atleast it was half loose! Got the other end just as hot but had to keep using a punch & sledge on that end! (no threads on that part!) Maybe the man upstairs thought we suffered enough!Lol Thanks again for ur help!
