Hey FTE friends i have a 2000 f-250 v-10 4x4 sc, last week out of no where it started running real rough and just belching white smoke from un burnt fuel,i have changed the fuel pressure regulator,as well as TPS. it just didn't help.
Oil, transmission fluid and antifreeze are the three fluids most likely to be the cause of white smoke coming from your exhaust. Ruptured seals, leaky bolts and blown gaskets can expose oil to hot spots, making it burn. Pinholes or loose lines can cause antifreeze to spray on the engine, while transmission fluid can be sucked into the engine and burn.
I just replaced all plugs and 1 cop about 6 weeks ago with OEM plugs, truck was running great and just slowly started to load up with fuel, and waould just belch raw gas out of exhaust within just a couple of miles of driving
I checked fuel pressure before changing the fuel pressure regulator (twice) and it had zero pressure in line when i went to relieve pressure for test.it built 40psi while cranking, then dropped to 30psi while idle and 20 psi at 2500rpm. the reason i changed the regulator was after a few seconds (5-10) with the pressure gage still hooked up the pressure would slowly bleed off. i thought it was suppose to maintain so many pounds of fuel pressure in the rail.
well fte friends i found the problem with my V-10. it was a bad injector, even after NAPA tested and said was ok it is definitely bad.Even when unplugged from harness it still pours gas.
Thanks for all the advice and help.
