I found the problem and fixed it. Before when i replaced that white line we couldnt get it back through the hole through the firewall so we went through the antenna grommet which completely closed the line off. We re routed it and replaced it with some stiffer line (the other was collapsing a lil bit) and presto! Ice cold a/c!

Thanks for all the help guys! Rep points when i get home. It wont let me do it on my phone

I need to do this. I tried replacing the section of hose that had practically disintegrated and It helped some. However, I did not try to replace the hole length of vacuum line. Where does it go to under the dash? What did you have to do to replace it? It looks like i would have to unwrap that whole bundle of hose/line/wires that come through the firewall... I was reluctant to do that because I don't know how to replace that wrap.. I know for sure that black electrical tape will not do.......

i couldnt get mine back through that wrap the the hole so i ran mine through the same hole as the antenna underneath the wiper cowl. take off the passenger side kick panel and take out the glove box and you can see it. i pulled my old line out and threw it away or you could just unplug both sides and run a new line and leave the old one there to rot i guess.

Thanks. it's definitely worth trying. I appreciate the tip about the kick panel and the glove box... I'll do it tomorrow and see what happens.
