Just wanted to let you guys know that this Saturday, June 4th is drive the track day, spend 40.00 dollars in the gift shop or buy tickets for a race and get 3 laps around the track in your car or truck, it's a blast even though the pace truck only runs up to about 85 mph, the more you buy the more laps you get . I have nothing to do with the track and don't work there or anything but if your close by it is a lot of FUUU-NNNN. It starts at 9:00 AM Earstern Time till late afternoon, Garry

If we were closer, we'd be there! I'd love to stretch Pegysu's legs out on the track. When we drive the parade lap we dont even get to drive on the track, just down on the bottom apron. We didnt even get to make the speedometer move I'd like to see 85MPH on there, that would be a hoot

 

I had the opportunity to take several laps around the Chicagoland Speedway and the Kansas Speedway in my 1955 F100. There is nothing like an FE motor wound up around those tracks; great memories!

Terry, I believe I hit a little over 100mph down the back stretch! All I can say is FUN....

Wish I could make it....BUT, I'll be there in July for the cup race!!! Can't wait!!!

 

Depending on when you will be there, we might be able top get a group together for coffee somewhere. I'll be arriving in town on Wednesday, but since I'll be working my times will be limited. I'll talk to Garry at Pigeon Forge in a couple of weeks to see what we can get set up. Last year, I just stopped at his house, but if we have more than a couple folks, maybe a restaurant close by.

 

We'll be there for the NASCAR races too, we have had season tickets since they opened the Ky. Speedway.
