My free 79' ford f-150 custom rebuild 56k beware

Well its already done but ill go back. My friend calls me up says hes got this ford with a big winch and bumper its rough doesnt know if it runs asks me if i want it for free cause he only payed $125 for it and has enough mud toys, i said sure ill take a look at it so heres the pics has a 351m,ford 9" and 38.5 ground hawgs

When i first got it

After i inspected it i found out it had no spark plugs no oil filter and no oil pan plug, so it went swimming. i did an oil change in my jeep and used its old oil and filter and put it in this got it running but was running rough so i pulled the valve cover off and found 2 bent rods

So i wasnt gonna put much money into it and i bent them back with a hammer put em back in and it runs great

Back tire blown up

Ford 9"

Radio, CD and tape player

Sitting on its own running great

Playing around in the mud hole by my house

Got back and figured id check the differentials and sure enough front and back were full of water so was the tcase and tranny so i replaced all those fluids also found out it has 4.11 gears. then decided id paint it so i threw some primer on it

and bought this blue

But i wanted a name for the truck so i figure BIGFOOT would suit it

All in all i got about $50 wrapped into this rig, my friend gave it to me as a favor cause i help him out with alot of his cars, as of now it needs a new voltage regulator but its a fun truck. i went to the redneck yacht club yesterday with it and drove it around come back to camp and my friend said the original owner called said he wanted the gears and winch off of it, oh well lol

they are pretty much THE mud tire to have on these trucks. It's too bad the factory went under and you can't buy them anymore. I bought one of the last sets for my 96 f150 last year.

nice job. I am gettting ready to paint for the first time. Where do you begin on sand paper? Is there a process?

1.) Sand (what grit)
2.) when do you prime after which sand and do you sand after prime, then paint?
