Alternator noise in speakers from cd changer fm modulator
I have a jvc cd changer that uses the fm modulator. I installed it in my truck today. I had the unit in my Mustang. When driving down the road there is a high pitch background noise with the cd changer only. It varies with the rpm's. I know it is interference from the alternator. My Mustang had only an 80 amp. I think the truck is a lot more. Has anyone experience this sort of problem. Is there a solution?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The single most important thing to consider when wiring audio components is the ground. Make sure you CD player has a solid ground. By that I mean it must be making good contact with bare metal that makes contact with the vehicle chasis. Also ensure that it has it's own ground - don't share a ground point with other items.
