XLT to Limited side view mirror swap?

Hi all, My driverside mirror was taken off this past weekend and I am now looking for a replacement. I was wondering if anyone knew it the 07' XLT's were pre wired for the directional leds. From what I can see there are a small bundle of wires that go to the mirror that I assume connect the motor and the heating element for defrost, but there are pair of wires black/black-striped that have termination ends on them that head to the faux filler strip that replaces the directional LED part. Anyone have any part numbers off hand? a) Black painted w/ the directional LED's b) Non-painted w/o the directional LED's Is this a difficult procedure, I believe the door panel needs to come off to access the bolts that secure the mirror to the door. Sorry is any of this has been talked about already, i havent had the time to seach through the forums and I was trying to get a quick swag of a price for insurance purposes. Thanks!!

Dont know if they are interchangable in regards to the wiring but fitment should be the same.

These numbers should be correct. Note that they come black (textured ? ), Limiteds come paint to match

Part # for Black with Power Adj, Memory, Heat w/ Directionals

Also, the Limiteds have Powerfold mirrors so...

I didnt realized they had the powerfold function too.. hmmmm that would require a new door switch panel as well.. Would you have the part number of that by any chance too?


Can any one here verify if the 07' XLT models are pre wired the same as the Limited or EB editions for the side view mirrors?

Just an FYI, I would think you need more than just the switch and new mirrors to make the Powerfold work. Doubt the wiring is already in the XLT. Also, does the XLT have a memory feature for mirrors or seats? I think there is a module that all the memory features have to run through. I just press a button and my seats, pedals and mirrors all move to where I had them. The mirrors might bolt up but I doubt they would be fully functional.

Thanks Matt for all the help. I assuming your are going to be right in the fact that the mirrors will not be 100% funtional.

Do you know if they sell the paint matched covers for the mirrors separately? I know you can get them primed but unsure if I could just purchase the black glossy versions to pop in.

As far as I know, Ford doesnt sell anything pre-painted anymore. Everything is PTM ( Paint to match )
