Automatic gear shifter ajustment

Quick question...My 01 with a 4R100 gear shifter is, for a lack of a better term, off. Basically 2nd gear is drive and reverse is park on the gear selector and I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about adjusting the gear shifter.

Thanks

Remove the lower dash cover under the steering column. There you will see a cable with a black adjusting ****. Adjust the **** so your needle reads correctly.

Take the dash off above the fuse panel??? or is the fuse panel the lower dash?

The fuse panel. Look directly under the steering column, it'll be about as big around as a drinking straw with a pronounced "curve" about it. Ubber easy to adjust.
