Factory Info On 2008 E-450 Ambulance
I am working in Saudi Arabia, and I need to find out some info for my Chief on the ambulances that we are using.
My search-fu is not up to speed, and I can't locate any of the identifying info for the VIN numbers. Where can I get all the information for my VIN deciphered?
Once I have that started that, I'll be able to start on the rest of the issues the Chief wants tackled.
Thanks.

Welcome to FTE
Send the VIN, all the codes from the Certification Label (pictured in post #2 ) to FTE sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM (Ed Olson, parts manager of Horizon Ford in Seattle WA). Ed will decode all of it...no charge.
This info is decoded from the truck parts catalog, the catalogs I have only cover thru 2001. How many other FTE members have parts catalogs that cover vehicles of this vintage? Other than Ed, I don't know of anyone.
FTE has VIN decoders, but they aren't worth two cents, have a gazillion errors and omissions. 17 digit VIN is broken down thusly:
First 3 digits: Country of origin/complete/incomplete vehicle / 4th digit: Gross Vehicle Weight Rating code / 5-7th digits: Series code / 8th digit: Engine code / 9th digit: FoMoCo 'check digit' code / 10th digit: Year code / 11th digit: Assembly Plant code / 12-17th digits: Numerical Sequence of Assembly, the vehicles specific serial number.
Helm (helminc.com) has all the original service literature available, as they have been printing all of FoMoCo's literature since 1948.
