quick dumb question Fuel Pump

I generally subscribe to the notion that there is no such thing as a dumb question... but this may test that theory...

53 Flathead 8... stock fuel pump.

Which is in, which is out?

Pump body
Glass bowl...

?????
Thanks in advance....

Hint, hint,,,,
I might get to START the beast up SOON....

IN = glass bowl
OUT = top of diaphragm

Crummy pic but still worth 500 words?

Low54, THANKS... that's what I was thinkin, but wanted to make sure. Manual was not help, and none of my 'before' pix showed how it was plumbed.

All I need now is a 6V battery and I am gonna crank her up for the first time since I got it back on the frame.

Low54, thanks, I am geeked about getting the beast fired up. I am restoring back to stock, except for the engine.... Triple Deuce, stroker crank, mild cam. I put a full flow oil filter and valve seats.
Yeah, new fuel pump...
