Ok well the tires on my truck are balding and its been about time for tires for about a year now but i cant aford to put tires on it so i posted an ad on CL and this guy responded has the same size tires that i am looking for and they look allright, i offered him 75 bucks and he took it, so i bought them bt i am thinking hoe can i tell how much is enough. I still think i got an allright deal here is a picture with a penny let me know what yous think?!?!

Look in the treads of the tire you will see a little bar of rubber that goes from one side of the tread to the tread next to it when the treads hit that bar it's time for new tires the bar is normaly less than 1/4 of the tread

 

ok ghreat well i think i found the bar if you look at the right of the picture you can see some of it. this bar is on each side of the tire in the tread. I think i got an allright deal and im getting em mounted today, thanks for the advice
