Replace injector seals??
A little history-
Bought my truck in '01 with aprox. 110k on it,in '04 it was getting hard to start w/o being plugged in,found 7out of 8 glowplugs were bad, while replacing them, the electrode of the #7 gp went down into the head.i spent 3 days with a magnet trying to find it with no luck, said f..k it, put it back together and started it up.Never made any strange noises, always starts right up.and runs good.
Now with 208k on it i'm going to pull the gp's and do a compression test
(just for piece of mind and for curiosity's sake)
My Question is: Because i have 208k and since i'll be under the valve covers again, should i pull the injectors out for a quick inspect.and change the seals? or should i just check the gap on them and leave them alone if the gaps are fine?
Like i said the truck runs fine and starts right up.Don't mess with a good thing?
Also does any body know of a good write up on checking the gap on these injectors? Thanks

I think he's referring to the solenoid gap with the poppet.
If you have the time and a few dollars.
just pull them and send them to jim to have him go over the injectors. They will come back with new o-rings and seals and any worn or broken parts will be replaced with new or good used parts depending on what you decide.
