I haven't had this issue in the F150, but my previous Explorer had just one speaker give out and it was just that speaker's time. Wiring was fine, it just gave out with no warning.
Sorry I'm not of any more help.

Thank you for your reply, I was hoping it was just the speaker but I tested it and it still worked

My drivers side did the same thing. I want to check mine as well. Do the front speaker covers pop right off? And is there a tweeter in there as well as the large speaker. It looks like I have a seperate smaller grill in my front doors?

Yeah magnet, if you take a small flat head screwdriver and work your way around the outside of the grill they pop right off and gives you access to the speaker without having to remove the door panel . Yeah the smaller grill is for the tweeter. Not sure if that grill comes off, but someone else with a fancy truck should know. Yeah I'm jealous, I'm working with no tweeters or power equipment haha. It was nice of them to put power steering and brakes on the truck though.

That channel output on the radio is probably toast.Ive seen it happen before.Chances of a wiring issue are slim unless someone has been "diddlin" with the harnesses. If you have checked the speaker, and it works,I suggest replacing the head unit.If its OEM,you can find them cheap, and plentiful at most any salvage yard.
I bought a "new pull out" 6 disc cd head unit for my 07 XL off ebay for 45.00 free ship.Took about 15 min to install, and sounds great.

I already upgraded my rear speakers to a set of Polk Audios, They sound great. If I replace the fronts, Do you mess with the tweeter and replace both or just the main speaker? I'll have to see what the guys at BestBuy recommend. Thanks for the info.

I replaced my fronts with those 6x8 2 way Infinity Reference ones at Best Buy that have the 2db switch on the tweeters. Holy crap they are awesome. They have really good bass and the music just overall sounds great (I listen to metal and country, no rap). This is compared to Pioneer 3 way 6x8s I had in front, which are now in back. Here's a link:Infinity - 6" x 8" Car Speakers with Polypropylene Woofer Cones (Pair) - Silver - 6832CF

I had a pair of those in the rear doors, but they seem not to be able to handle the power of the JVC so I went with Lightning Audio like I did in the front and no more clipping at high bass levels.

I put one inch tweets in the doors from ebay and this thing sings now.
