Paint Options, and some pricing help.
I have an '82 that is an original shade of blue, one I would describe as royal. I love this color, but I have someone looking to buy it. I have a another '86 that I want the same shade. The first truck has set a couple years, but scrap is high right now, it's not that bad on rust, and it ran when I parked it. Which is the story of most of my trucks. How much is one worth just sitting, and what is the name of the blue colors the ford would've offered that year?

Tried to post this last night, but the forum was down.
The blue you are looking for it might be the same blue that my 82 F150 is painted, below is a photo, the only photo I have that shows the blue, its the underside of the hood but I repainted it with the blue that the truck orignally was.
The underside of the hood at the top of the picture above, is that the blue you are talking about?
If so the color is Midnight Blue Metallic, but yours might not be this color as ford also offered in 1982 another blue known as Dark Blue Metallic.
I think the Midnight Blue Metallic is a whole lot darker than the Dark Blue Metallic, but I have not seen a Dark Blue Metallic 82 F150 in person to know for sure.
