What SIze Carb for 302?

Hey guys,
I got a stock 302 i'm looking to put a Edelbrock Performer RPM top-end kit on, i was wondering what brand/size/type carb i should top it off with. here's links to what i PLANNED on getting, under my own judgement. going to be a daily driver. I'm basically getting something to beat my friends trucks at a light. I want my truck to be the baddest around, but im not taking it racing.

Carb - Edelbrock 14064 - Edelbrock Performer Carburetors - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Rockers (not in the kit) - Edelbrock 77780 - Edelbrock Aluminum Roller Rockers - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Top End Kit - Edelbrock 2091 - Edelbrock Power Package Top-End Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

I had the 14064 on a 302 in my 79-f100 , it was okay. But if you want to leave your friends behind. Do like i did and drop in a 460 - c/6 ,holley 4/b,3.50 rear gears and you can leave them in tire smoke real easy. L.O.L. and i'm not a kid, unless being 69 years old qualifies ,let the good times roll. I love doing it next to a chevy or dodge. JIM

I liked it, i used it on a 289 the first time ,then a chevy 350, then a chevy 4.3L , before trying it on the 302. But i never got good mpg on the 302 with a c/4 and 3.50 rear gears. Only 10 mpg, i think my 460 will do that good if not better. The 302 was tuned up good with new plugs, plug wires and a new dist. not as good as l expected. So i thought, if i have to feed it a lot of gas,i want more power. L.O.L. I will find out in a few days as i am checking my mpg now. A lot of guys like the holley ,but the edlebrock has been more trouble free for me and don't leak like a holley . JIM
